Psalm 2:1

Hebrew expresses in one word (with prefixes and suffixes) what English often uses several words to say. In this literal translation Hebrew word-units are in different colors:

לָמָּה רָגְשׁוּ גוֹיִם
וּלְאֻמִּים יֶהְגּוּ־רִיק ׃

  Why do the nations conspire,
and the peoples mutter emptiness?

As you can see though "Why do" and "emptiness" do not have corresponding words in the other line, each line has three words - they "balance".
