שֶׁבֶת shebet "seat" the use of this word in Am 6:3 is difficult, the LXX has σαββάτων "sabbath" (which preserves the Hebrew שׁבת by reading different vowels) however this can hardly be correct. In the absence of a better suggestion the traditional "seat" (from ישׁב "sit") = "throne" = "reign" is the best we can do.
