נְאֻם ne'um "oracle, declaration". Very common in the phrase "Adonai's oracle" used as a messenger formula in almost all prophetic books (though not Hab or Jon). In Amos at: 2:11, 16; 3:10, 13, 15, 4:3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11; 6:8, 14; 8:3, 9, 11, 9:7, 8, 12, 13. Some of these are in extended forms like "oracle of my lord Adonai".
