כַּפְתּוֹר
kaphtor (i) "knob, capital of a pillar" in Ex 25:31-36;
37:17-22 it is part of the lampstand of
the tabernacle, while
in Am 9:1 and Zeph 2:14
it is more likely to refer to the capitals of pillars.
(ii) "Kaphtor, Crete" in Dt 2:23 Jer 47:4 and Am 9:7 the Philistines are associated with Kaphtor.
