אֲרִי 'ariy "lion" used in Amos at 3:12; 5:19 paradoxically English translations often put an article at 3:12, but not at 5:19 where Hebrew has one - presumably here the idea is that the unspecified "someone" is escaping from an all too real lion!
אַרְיֵה 'areh is presumably a different spelling of the same word, in Am 3:4, 8.
